I believe I only consumed about a dozen fun sized candy bars this Halloween night...and maybe for the first time since we had kids...I donned a costume. Although my sibs may argue, "not really."
Four of the kids dressed up but only two trick or treated tonight with Scott. Amanda, 13, and Hannah, 15, went to friends' homes for parties and sleep overs. Scott and I relented in letting them go...sigh...we can't FORCE them to stay with us forever.
I've got to give them credit for enthusiastically getting into costume -- especially Amanda and Hannah applying blood to their torn t-shirts.
Parker didn't want to be, "too scary a werewolf." And Julianna weathered the opaque yellow make up well enough to make any bumble bee proud.
Speaking of makeup, Scott had quite a good time applying his don't cha think?
And as usual, the house was the biggest hit of the night. My canned answer to the compliments, "thank you -- it matches the inside now!"
